Therapies

I use a blend of various therapies with EFT playing a central part, bringing in other techniques when appropriate, depending on individual need. I work intuitively, and I integrate the therapies I use, aiming to get the best results for you. This is a description of the main therapies I use.

 

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)

EFT is a powerful technique for resolving all sorts of emotional and physical problems gently and easily. It is based on impressive new discoveries regarding the body's subtle energy system and its connection with our emotions and health. It has proven clinically effective in thousands of cases for a very wide variety of emotional, psychological and physical issues, often working when nothing else will.

It is often said it is like an emotional or psychological form of acupuncture without the needles. It involves tapping on a sequence of meridian points with the fingertips while talking and focusing on the issue to be worked on. The tapping balances the body's energy system, releasing blockages which are linked to negative emotions or discomfort, and the roots of dis-ease within the body.

What can EFT be used for?

EFT can be applied effectively to almost any emotional, psychological or physical issue, including:

EFT is flexible and works well with the other therapies I use, and can also work along side any other therapy or medical treatment you may be having. During the first session, as well as using EFT with you I will teach you how you can use it on yourself so you can use it in between sessions or when ever you feel the need.

 

Matrix Reimprinting

Matrix Reimprinting is a technique which evolved form EFT and uses the tapping in a specific way to resolve negative memories and limiting beliefs about yourself and the world, and creates new positive images in your subconsciousness which help you to heal and also enable you to attract much more positive experiences into your life. As with conventional EFT it can be used to resolve all sorts of issues.

 

NLP and Hypnotherapy

I sometimes use a blend of NLP and hypnotherapy with EFT which works extremely well in promoting healing and creating positive changes in you.

NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is a powerful set of techniques for creating positive change and increasing your potential. It focuses on how the mind works, how we communicate, both internally to ourselves and externally, and our patterns of behaviour. It deals with the symptoms of your problem and also its structure (the unconscious means by which you maintain your problem). NLP is a very effective tool for clearing blockages to recovery and replaces these with qualities which allow you to be much more resourceful, now and in the future.

Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis to create positive change by encouraging and enhancing the use of your own inner resources. It is a relaxed state of awareness where your conscious mind is quietened allowing your subconscious mind to play a more active part. There are many myths about hypnosis which give a misleading impression. Hypnosis or trance is a natural state of mind that we all experience several times a day, passing through this state as we go to sleep each night and when we are just waking up, and also when we daydream and when we are deeply engrossed in something like a good book or a film. People usually find it a pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable experience.  

 

Reiki

Reiki is an ancient form of hands on healing thought to be thousands of years old. It works on the different levels of mind, body and spirit and flows to the areas of need, supporting the body's natural ability to heal itself. It can help to defuse the effects of stress, improve the immune system, help to clear blockages in the energy system and enhance self awareness. It works well with the other therapies I use, enhancing their effects.
